High-Precision GPS Location

All Datalink GPS devices include a high-performance GNSS module capable of delivering accurate position fixes in both urban and rural environments. Location data is logged at configurable intervals and transmitted to the platform in real time.

Ignition Detection

Hardwired devices include an ignition input wire that connects to your vehicle’s ignition circuit. When ignition is detected, the device automatically increases its tracking rate and begins recording a trip. When ignition is turned off, the device reduces its tracking rate to conserve power.

Digital Inputs and Outputs

Most Datalink GPS devices include configurable digital inputs and outputs, allowing connection to accessories such as:

• Panic/duress buttons
• PTO (Power Take-Off) or fuel pump monitors
• External buzzers or LEDs
• Door open/close sensors
• Remote immobilisation relays

Backup Battery

Many devices include a small internal backup battery that allows the device to send a ‘last known position’ alert if main vehicle power is lost or the device is tampered with.

Bluetooth® Gateway

Select Datalink devices act as a Bluetooth® gateway, scanning for nearby BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) tags and sensors and reporting their status back to the platform. This is ideal for tracking trailers, equipment, or monitoring cold chain temperatures.

Remote Immobilisation

Hardwired devices with digital output capability can be connected to a vehicle immobiliser relay, allowing authorised users to remotely disable a vehicle via the tracking platform.
