Real-Time Indoor Visibility

RFID asset tracking is designed for environments where knowing exactly where assets are inside a facility is critical. Commonly used in hospitals, warehouses, and large sites, it provides real-time visibility of assets without relying on GPS signals.

By tracking assets as they move through rooms, corridors, and zones, RFID systems reduce time spent searching, improve utilisation, and support faster access to critical equipment — especially in high-pressure operational environments.

RFID Tracking Devices

(Active & Passive)

Using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology can provide significant benefits for organisations ranging from improvements to asset utilisation, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, brand protection, regulatory compliance to cost reduction and fraud prevention.

Active and passive RFID technologies can be used to uniquely identify and track assets, inventory and people as well as monitor temperature. A wide variety of solutions is available to accommodate individual requirements depending on the desired location accuracy, the existing infrastructure and budget constraints.

Typical applicatons are

Hospitals & healthcare
Medical equipment
Warehouses
Plant & machinery
Inventory management
Large facilities

HOW IT WORKS

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) uses electromagnetic fields to transfer data from tags which carry a unique identifier. Tags can be attached to items including textiles in order to identify and track them automatically.

An RFID system also includes a reading system that detects the tags, reads the data and sends them to a central computer database, which can be integrated with other enterprise systems for data exchange and reporting.
